What should I wear for the treatment?
Please bring comfortable clothing. For women, I recommend a sports bra or tank top with underwear or shorts. For men, underwear or shorts. Some MFR techniques require a seated or sideline position. Patient safety and comfort is extremely important.
Is MFR covered under private health insurance?
Yes. Myofascial Release is considered massage therapy and is billed as such. If you have massage therapy coverage with your personal plan, you will be able to claim it.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Payment can be made by debit, credit, cash, cheque, or e-transfer.
Do you accept direct billing?
No, currently I do not accept direct billing.
How will I feel after my treatment?
Everyone responds differently to Myofascial Release. Some people feel immediate relief, while for others, the effects take time to settle in. Stay hydrated and give your body space to adjust to the changes. Healing isn’t linear, it unfolds in its own time.
What is the difference between massage therapy & MFR?
Unlike traditional massage therapy, Myofascial Release focuses on the fascial system. No lotions or oils are used, allowing for proper assessment and treatment of the fascia. Instead of long sweeping movements, MFR uses slow, sustained pressure into an area of restriction. This allows the fascia to release and return to its natural state, which can lead to greater, longer-lasting results.
